This rope woven outdoor armchair is built on an aluminum support frame. The back and arms are woven from 6 mm rope in an open diamond pattern, which lets air move through the shell instead of trapping heat, and the seat carries a 40 mm cushion. Because the frame is aluminum, the chair stays light enough to reposition between settings, while the cross-braced legs keep it steady. Aluminum also resists rust, so the frame holds up in wet weather. The open weave makes the shell easy to rinse down, and the chair is scaled for terraces, hotel courtyards and cafe seating.

CDG Rope Finishes

Every woven back panel is built from the CDG rope range, shown in this sample set as solid tones and speckled patterns across natural, neutral and accent families. The rope carries the chair's look, so its finish sets the character of the piece: a solid rope reads graphic and minimal, while a speckled rope brings texture and hides everyday marks better. Rope Construction: Three-Layer Performance

The rope has three layers. The core is a spandex polyester build, which keeps the rope springy and flexible. A middle layer of UV-resistant outdoor plastic wraps it, soft yet high tenacity with strong rebound, pressed together with the outer yarn so the rope can stay waterproof outside. The outer layer is made from high-strength yarn in a neutral extension structure: it lifts weaving yields by 30-40% and is designed to keep braided seating from sagging.
